As you may be aware, the Rembrandt loan origination system (LOS) is sunsetting and your institution will be moving to a new LOS.  CCMC provides interface software that automates the booking of loans from the Rembrandt LOS to your core processing system for servicing. We here at CCMC want to make sure you are aware of our Customer Loyalty program to eliminate the risk of losing critical automation functionality and services, and prevent paying more in fees or resources to implement a different interface that was not designed by automation experts.

In short, our Customer Loyalty program works so that if you move from Rembrandt to another LOS, that CCMC provides interface solutions for, we will transfer your existing license to the new LOS and you will not be charged a new license fee.  This assures your team of no unknown automation complexities! Please note that in order for this program to be honored, your maintenance fees for ccmcBridge/HostBridge should be current and will be renewed.

Here is a partial list of LOS systems to which we currently have interfaces. Please see the Product page on our website (http://www.ccmcinc.com/Products.htm) for a complete listing.

Byte - BytePro
Calyx - Point
DMD - DataTrac, DataTrac Originator
Ellie Mae - Encompass 360
Fiserv - EasyLender
Harland - LaserPro
Integra Software Systems - Destiny
OpenClose - LenderAssist
PCLender - InHouse Mortgage

Even if a new LOS decision has already been made and your conversion date has been set, we urge you to research the additional charges for a new Interface and if that company's core experience has been in maintaining automation solutions. At CCMC, our only business is providing automation solutions to the financial industry, and we have excelled at this since 1994.

If you would like further information on our interface products, to discuss our Implementation Process and Fee, or to see a demonstration - please contact sales@ccmcinc.com at your earliest convenience.

Industry experts will be keeping a close watch on these pieces of industry wide technology in 2012; UMDP, MISMO and MERS.

UMDP:  This initiative is comprised of two components - mandatory delivery of electronic appraisals and an expanded data file format (ULDD) replacing the old DU flat file format.  Vendors have spent well over a year getting ready but are now in wait mode since the GSEs rescheduled from March to June.  Keep close watch as this technology rolls into full operation later this year.

Meanwhile, the industry will be watching how MERS, the Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, handles the continued onslaught of challenges to its private loan registry.  In 2012 they will face even more legal fights.  Predictions are leaning toward a tough but winning year.

MISMO was a casualty of the MERS battle with the Mortgage Banking Association resuming control of the daily operations in December, a job that MERS had been handling.  Under the MBA's resumed leadership MISMO is expected to take a larger role in working with regulators and other industry participants to encourage and promote the use of the MISMO standards.

Many financial institutions are riding the tide of the proliferation of new technology devices - Apple, Android, Blackberry, Nook, iPad, Kindle, etc. - and are starting to craft Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies, which establish how employees who use personal devices at work can also access corporate assets.  "There are numerous security, human resources and legal issues that need to be addressed when considering implementing of such policy," says a spokeswoman for one financial institution.  "The technology is making life easier, but it has increased the risk profile, and we have to manage this to keep our data secure," says another financial institution.

With the wide use of these devices by employees and customers, now is the time to get a policy in place.  A Google search for Bring Your Own Device will yield a list of resources that can help with getting your policy in place.
